The Digital Paint Artist create background plates and restores sequence paint for high end visual effects.
Job Description:
  • Applicant must have an artistic vision and creative thinking ability
  • Exceptional skill in at least one paint software (Ex. Photoshop, Nuke , etc.)
  • Minimum one- to- two years' hands- on experience with 2D paint and stereo paint
  • Candidates with experience in Plate Creation, Marker removal, Wire & rig removal, matte painting and all Artifact clean- up.
  • Handle difficult to extremely difficult paint tasks within a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Nuke paint scripts for issues when they arise.
  • Demonstrates a strong knowledge in camera projection, color and grain structures with the ability to match saturation, hues and black points from multiple sources.
  • Able to break shots down into individual components with little supervision.
  • Easily assimilates feedback given by supervisors.
  • Researches appropriate references including continuity with like shots. Proactively shares this information with team.
  • Demonstrates excellent trouble shooting skills.
  • Should have in depth knowledge of VFX pipeline for production deliveries
Desired Skills :
  • Experience preferably in Hollywood VFX.
  • Must have a willingness to learn new tools, a proven ability to be detail-oriented, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and to work efficiently within a production environment.

Job Description:
  • Use Silhouette, Nuke to create and track roto shapes and lines for various elements within a shot.
  • Comprehend written notes with visual cues and execute the work with minimal direction.
  • Further ability to analyze a problem within a shot and understand what elements require roto and tracking in order to make the fix.
  • Excellent knowledge of roto shapes and lines using Sihoutte or similar application such as Nuke, Mocha Pro.
  • Strong artistic aesthetic and eye for detail.
  • Trace the areas of live action frames where computer graphics will overlap or interact with live images.
  • This creates clear areas (mattes) within the frame to allow all elements of the scene to be layered convincingly.
  • Responsible for creating mattes that accurately reflect the motion of particular objects over a series of frames.

Job Description:
  • The MatchMove artist is responsible for reproducing the geometry, camera movement and object movement of a live-action shot in a 3D environment.
  • Responsible for 3D rotoscoping, for transformation of characters, face, hand and leg replacements and 3d objects for interactions and shadow.
  • A Matchmove Artist must have experience on a range of large scale film projects encompassing a wide range of camera moves / object tracks and 3d rotoscoping.
  • Primary responsibilities should be able to do all of it, camera, object tracking and 3d rotoscoping to match live-action footage in a 3D environment and to maintain consistent shot quality participate in Matchmove dailies and desk rounds,
  • Receiving feedback on your work and following direction from leads Help with conforming any Lidar scans,
  • Ensure its being followed upon on a regular basis during show leads desk rounds. Support your lead / senior in making sure target deliveries are met make your show lead / senior aware of any technical issues Make your show co-ordinator & lead is aware of any production issues Make your show lead / HOD aware of any R&D requests that you think may benefit the team.
  • Must be proficient in 3D Equalizer, Maya and Boujou Must have a basic knowledge on Film/Digital SLR cameras.
  • Basic understanding of camera and filming techniques and other vfx departments.
  • Good understanding of 3D camera principles like lenses , distortion , lens grids , parallax types of the camera move , overscan.
  • Ability to understand camera data sheet and turnover sheets Should be able to assist with any image based modelling for building Matchmove models.

Compositing artist is responsible for the visual quality of shots for the animated film. The artist is responsible for the integration of 2D & 3D scenes while respecting the technical rules and artistic vision established on the project. He performs numerical compositing tasks at all steps of the production pipeline.

Responsabilities:
  • Constructing the final image by combining layers of previously-created material, including rendered computer animation, FX, graphics, and static background plates
  • Ensure that the levels combine together seamlessly, and creating mattes where necessary. Enhance the lighting, match blacks and other colour levels, add grain where required, add motion blur where required, and create convincing shadows.
  • Work closely with the FX and Lighting Artists to develop compositing strategies and achieve an aesthetically balanced overall look.
  • Understanding of various composition techniques.
  • Knowledge of the cinematography principles including depth of field, density, use of filters
  • Ability to light characters and environments, interior and exterior, different times of day, etc.
  • Good technical knowledge of how 3D lighting works in order to understand the 'multi passes' that the Lighters create.
  • Integrate 3D elements in compliance with a high standard of visual effects feature film production; Ensure that the shots meet the requirements of the rendering processes; Work with relevant departments in relation to compositing;
  • Seamless integration of live action, Blue/Green screen, CGI sources.
  • Work closely with the supervisors in house and with different locations.
  • Communicate well with the team and leads to overcome any delay in tighter deadline.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the Compositing team and other VFX department.
  • A strong creative eye and problem-solving attitude.
  • Understanding of linear work flow would be a plus.
